I ordered Hot Stone Bibimap. It was exquisite and delicious. However the heavy hot stone pot wasn't delivered to me. And as I was leaving the cashier was insisting that I bring the heavy stone pot back to a cart. No service whatsoever. Why did I leave a tip?
Prices and very reasonable with friendly service. I got the dumpling soup which had really good flavor. I highlt recommend others to try if you're here at the spa.
The food is amazing. I usually opt for their dolsot bibimbap, but the other food is amazing. It tastes like home cooked Korean food. Highly recommend. You can also order from this restaurant without utilizing the spa. Just give them a call.
Be sure to bring your wallet OR phone for Venmo users AND appetite! On the third floor of the Descanso Garden Spa is the cafeteria & I have to say the portions plus the prices are . After sitting in the hot tub and getting your R&R with a body scrub, you end up feeling peckish & thank goodness for this cafeteria! The man behind the counter was accommodating & let me know that he accepts Venmo since I forgot my card in my locker. Their refreshing, cold sweet rice drink is in a sushi form, which is nice to cool down your body while you wait for your order. I appreciate that the spicy squid dish wasn't too salty, which is generally the norm. Definitely coming back to Descanso Gardens Spa with the cafeteria being a major perk! Great little cafe with great food at reasonable prices. Good noodles and frozen drinks. Super friendly service. The rice cake soup and the fried rice was the bomb!
So happy that they reopened the cafe inside of the Descanso Garden Spa. Super friendly owner and great food priced at reasonable prices vs some other spa cafes. Great homemade taste! Lots of seating and free wifi. Limited menu now since just reopening of about 10 yummy items but perfect to grab a bite after relaxing in the spa or between naps! The cafe reopening makes the spa now a great place to hang out all day at to get your massage, spend time relaxing and rejuvenating in the many spa areas and to grab a yummy Korean meal!
